Friday February 20 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Join us for a special Black History Month celebration led by NYK’s very own examples of Black excellence: Sommelier Shomari Smoak (@wineswithsmoak), Chef Eli Tate (Sauced & LiT), and Wine Writer Maiah Johnson Dunn (maiah.com).
You’ll savor Chef Eli’s crispy fried chicken, saucy ribs, mac & cheese, collard greens, and cornbread. For dessert, next-level sweets from Pound Cakes by Pastor. Alongside your plate, you’ll enjoy five exceptional Black-owned or made wines hand-selected by Shomari and Maiah.
Learn the tips and tricks to make your own fried chicken at home while you discover the stories behind each wine and the reasons why each pairing works. Plus, you’ll celebrate this month the best way we know how – with delicious food and drink.
