Cheers to the Kentucky Derby!
Thursday April 30 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Before the gates open and the bugle sounds, join “The Intoxicating Professor,” Heather McKechney, for a lively evening celebrating the history, pageantry, and bourbon-soaked tradition of the Kentucky Derby.
We’ll uncover how this 19th-century horse race became an American institution, why bourbon and the Derby are inseparable, and what really happens inside a charred oak barrel. Expect a dash of history, a splash of chemistry, and plenty of flavor.
You’ll taste three distinctive bourbons—including the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby—then transform your favorite into the classic Mint Julep. Your ticket includes a pairing plate by NYK Resident Chef Pamela Cecere.
No prior betting experience required. Hats encouraged. Curiosity mandatory.
