Deck the Glasses: A Holiday Movie Wine Tasting
Friday December 11 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Deck the Glasses: A Holiday Movie Wine Tasting
The uglier the sweater, the fuller the pour.
Grab your ugliest Christmas sweater and join Beverage Education Manager Jen Menges for a festive, laugh-out-loud wine tasting inspired by the holiday movies we all quote every December. Over seven wines, we’ll travel from the North Pole to Nakatomi Plaza, pairing each pour with a beloved (or hotly debated) holiday classic.
Along the way, you’ll learn how to actually taste wine: what those “legs” in your glass really mean (thanks, A Christmas Story), why some wines taste better after a little air (a lesson from the Grinch himself), how to pair wine with food like a pro (Kevin McCallister’s cheese pizza included), and how those magical bubbles get into Champagne. Whether you’re brand new to wine or already have opinions about box wine, you’ll walk away knowing more and laughing harder than you expected.
And yes, we’ll finally settle it: Is Die Hard a Christmas movie? You’ll cast your vote during our blind tasting showdown!
What’s included:
A guided tasting of seven wines, holiday movie-themed bites and our Ugly Sweater Contest with a prize for the winner (decided by you, our guests!).
Dress code: Ugly Christmas Sweater (strongly encouraged, enthusiastically judged). Bonus points for movie-themed looks. Leg lamps welcome.
Space is limited, so reserve your spot before Cousin Eddie takes them all.
