East vs. West: A Wine & Tailgate Showdown

Thera and Anthony are back by popular demand….and better than ever! Get ready for a spirited evening of wine, food, and football as NY Kitchen Wine Educators Thera Clark and Anthony Velasquez go head-to-head in an “East vs. West” Wine Showdown at New York Kitchen.

Chef Pamela Cecere will prepare a lineup of game-day tailgate favorites, each paired with a wine inspired by the AFC East and NFC West. Discover how and why each pairing works as East Coast and West Coast wines face off alongside some of football’s most craveable snacks.

Representing the AFC East, Thera Clark will take on:

  • 🦬 Buffalo Bills — Buffalo Wing Dip
  • 🐬 Miami Dolphins — Cuban Sliders
  • ✈️ New York Jets — Mini “Stadium Dogs”

Defending the NFC West, Anthony Velasquez will bring:

  • 🦅 Seattle Seahawks — Salmon Rillettes
  • ⛏️ San Francisco 49ers — Guacamole
  • 🐏 Los Angeles Rams — Carnitas on Corn Chips

Come hungry, thirsty, and ready to pick your side! Along the way, you’ll learn what makes each wine-and-food pairing click, from acidity and richness to texture and flavor.

Game-day attire is encouraged! Wear your team colors, bring your football spirit, and join us for a fun, delicious East vs. West showdown where everyone wins.
