Saké: Demystified and Paired
Friday September 12, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Saké is a unique beverage category–it’s neither wine nor spirit nor beer. It has its own terminology and a versatile range of styles and flavor profiles to pair with any cuisine—even ordinary American food!
If you’re intrigued but mystified by saké, join an all-star team for an introduction to the beverage and its pairings. You’ll taste six sakés that represent common styles and grades, each paired with foods you’d enjoy in your home, prepared by Chef Pam Cecere of Saveur, LLC. Certified Saké Professional Marty Nott will present the sakés while explaining the terminology, how to decode saké labels, and practical aspects of enjoying saké such as serving temperatures, glassware, and use in cocktails. Sommelier Thera Clark will weigh in on pairing saké with foods we can enjoy anytime and anywhere, including at home.
There’s a refined and delicious saké to pair with any meal or snack at your house. Join us for this seminar to start or accelerate your exploration!
This class is made possible by the generous support of Vintus NY.
