So You Think You Know Cider: A Celebration of New York Cider Week 5/8/26

Friday May 8 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Think you know hard cider? It’s everywhere here in New York, but there’s far more to it than most people realize. This is your chance to build the kind of knowledge that will impress dinner guests for months to come.

Cider is more than a drink: it’s an expression of fruit and fermentation that comes alive when it’s shared. Together, we’ll explore the building blocks of hard cider, from apple varieties and fermentation fundamentals to the surprising difference between taste and flavor, and how all our senses work in concert. As we work through four unique ciders, you’ll learn to identify key characteristics, build confidence in sensory evaluation, and deepen your appreciation for the craft behind every bottle.

Join Ann Bliss aka Sister Cider, a cider enthusiast and certified Pommelier building community around craft cider. She is the Special Projects Coordinator for the New York Cider Association and a bartender at Mullers Cider House in Rochester, NY, and most importantly, she’s passionate and knowledgeable about all things New York hard cider!

Of course, you’ll enjoy a nosh box by Chef Pam!
