Tasting Italy’s Le Marche Region
Saturday April 6, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Le Marche. An area on the eastern side of Central Italy between the Adriatic sea and Apennine mountains speckled with seaside towns. Vineyards cover just under 40,000 acres in the region, stretching across climate and soil types, leading to an interesting take on both red and white wines. Most known for its aromatic white wines like Verdicchio, the region also produces strong red blends often featuring Montepulciano and Sangiovese. Every year on January 6th, the region celebrates La Befana – a festival that marks the end of the Christmas season. We’ll celebrate in our own way on April 6th at New York Kitchen. Join NYK Beverage University Instructor and Aubergine Bed & Breakfast Owner Christine Pyanoe to learn more about the wines and history of Le Marche.
